Thumps Up !!

“Speed Thrills but Kills”
Sometimes you need to speed because the truck behind you honks as if its going to crush you under its tires. the moment you get some speed, you see fellow bike commuters trying to match your speed, just to show off to the damsel sitting behind them.

it was slightly drizzling and the weather was just nice to go for a long drive on a highway with your girl friend sitting just close enough to make sure that there is only one bike rider . we were planning to cover atleast 10-15 kms with an average speed of 20 kmph. But thanks to the nice highways which Indian govt makes, we were soon met by a line of trucks, buses, bikes going at an average speed of 80kmph. Soon enough we found ourselves all surrounded by all kind of motorized vehicles. Disappointed, we decided to cut short our trail of rain, and i started showing off the beauty and speed of my pulsar. but as you know, Bangalore is so small. we returned back to city within minutes and were on our way to home.

Slowly we were overtaking so many bikes, cars and soon caught up with speed a couple on avenger. the couple looked more like mallus. i must say here that i was not setting up a race with that couple but they seemed thrilled when i zoomed past them. they also started picking up speed. and soon they were about to cross me. the girl sitting on the avenger back seat, looked at us, smiled and whispered into his man’s ear and waved back at us, saying [atleast i inferred] follow us !!
this really thrilled me and i was desperate to overtake them and say back “follow us”.
it was all city speed and zig-zag-zoom. sometimes i would be so much behind him, that i would need back up from my GF to keep zooming. but soon enough we got a chance to overtake them, for good. we were ahead of them for atleast 3mins when my GF said, good by tapping by back. i slowed down a little bit, so that they could level us, the Avenger came at same level, the Avenger girl looked at us, gave us a winning smile, and thumps up !!
