He is on his way

we were almost done with our shopping at Kroger and were waiting for the lady ahead of us in the queue to pay her bill… her eyes constantly searching for someone till the shopping attendant asked her to show her Kroger Card.. thats where the problem started..
she was probably looking for her husband who left her for shopping at Kroger all alone…
she tried calling him using her mobile.. but he was nowhere in our sight..
Upendra, my roomie decided to help her… and swiped in his own card.. after paying the money she left Kroger with her grocery…

we were quick to come out of Kroger.. but that lady was still standing outside Kroger searching the whole place in vain for her husband… i had heard her saying the shopping attendant that her husband was on his way !!

we thought of helping her.. trying to talk to her.. but somehow couldnt muster enough strength to talk to a lady like that..
her eyes were constantly on us.. looking at us for help [this is wat i felt, wasnt sure though]..
we started our car and left..
all throughout our way back home i was cursing her husband.. why he left her all alone in that cold.. in that dark night..

and after i was bored of cursing him, i cursed myself why i didnt have enough guts to help her
