bahut expectation tha iss movie se.. isiliye 1 week pehle se he tickets book kar diya tha… per movie dekhne ke baad laga .. time waste ho gaya:( aur paise bhi

the movie starts with the trunk of elephant.. and some ppl singing a folk lore on that elephant.. good for a movie to start.. but u cant have the same group narrating the story in a song.. it looks ridiculous..
the entry of Mangal Pandey was awesome.. great !! nicely done.
there are few moments where u can really appreciate the director.. the actors and actresses.. but those moments are FEW..
it lacked the seriousness of a topic like struggle for independence of India.. it seemed like the movie is more like one masala movie.. which had only Mangal Pandey as a name.. hira played by rani.. is totally unwanted and doesnt fit anywhere in the story line..*me thinks.. its not there in history also*
Kirron Kher’s elaborately done-up brothel .. the dance girls including rani(hira) clad in bare-all dresses dont fit with the storyline… there was absolutely no need to put that ITEM song.. hopeless!!

slowly the motivation and struggle for independence takes up shape.. but it takes more than the name of Mangal Pandey to do justice.
Aamir is like usual at his best.. Gordon is also good..
the second half is full of unfinished work… the is room for improvement at so many places..

disastrous movie..

PVR

it took almost 1 hour to reach Sankey Road.. though we knew the roads properly but the one ways in Bangalore!!!.. finally me, vineet and Shaurabh were @ Le Meriden attending the ‘Sun & PC Quest Developer Summit’ ..we got so much bored with the rusty lectures that we decided that we would go out for a movie..
and which is better place to watch a movie than PVR..
we maneuvered through the bangalore traffic and got noon show tickets of ‘Stealth’..
happiily we sat in our seats exactly 15 mins before the show..
gradually the whole theater was full.. to our surprise.. as it was tuesday.. and we thought that it should be empty..nevertheless..

the movie was supposed to start at 12.30pm.. it was already 12.45pm.. we consoled ourselves that once the whole theater is full…with every seat occupied.. the movie will start.. 12.50pm..1.00pm.. but the movie didnt start..
i loosed my patience.. and i started to walk towards the guard to ask why the movie is not starting.. vineet was with me.. there we got to know that due to some technical issues the movie is not starting at the scheduled time… we went ahead and searched for the manager.. by that time.. atleast 5% of the entire theater had gathered outside..
manager came.. he was ’self proclaimed’ dude.. he tried all in vain, to keep our cool.. but then we were there to make fun of him..
we teased him like anything.. vineet going to the extent that “be a man, face the reality.. keep ur words”..and me:) standing in front of his nose so that i can have a look at his face when he tries to tell lies AGAIN..
well.. he had brought his ’so called’ body guards.. *he must have past experience of public wrath*..
after much chaos we got our refund.. and finally we went to INOX.. much better place to watch movies… the theater was much better than PVR and the staff too were better than PVR..
difficult for me to forget the fun we made of the manager.. he rightly deserved those mockeries.. he would never forget our faces..
